About Foxy For Life by Cherice Baker

Foxy For Life by Cherice Baker exists for one reason.

Because women in perimenopause and menopause deserve more than vague answers, conflicting advice, and being told that what they're experiencing is "just part of ageing."

You deserve someone who understands the science, has sat with women like you for over 25 years, and can translate all of it into practical, personalised action.

That's what this is.

Who I work with

I work with women, who want to better understand their symptoms and improve the foundations that support long-term health.

Many of the women I support:

  • feel overwhelmed by changes in energy, mood, sleep, weight, or overall wellbeing

  • are tired of conflicting advice around hormones, supplements, and what to focus on first

  • want a calmer, more practical alternative to fear-based or all-or-nothing approaches

  • are ready to make realistic, sustainable changes that fit real life

  • value thoughtful, personalised support over quick fixes or magic bullets

How I work

My approach is practical, personalised, and grounded in the foundations that matter most.

Foxy For Life is built on a foundations-first philosophy:

  • Evidence-informed — I draw on current research, clinical reasoning, and practical experience to help you make informed decisions you can actually use.

  • Rooted in real life — health support has to work within your lifestyle, energy, responsibilities, and season of life.

  • Foundations first — I look at the nutritional, metabolic, lifestyle, and nervous system factors that may be influencing how you feel, before adding unnecessary complexity.

  • Thoughtful about testing and supplements — where testing is useful, it is chosen carefully. Where supplements are helpful, they are selected with purpose, not simply added on.

  • Collaborative — I help you understand what may be driving your symptoms so that we can make clear, practical decisions together.

My work is educational and supportive in nature. I do not diagnose medical conditions or replace medical care. Where needed, I encourage women to work alongside their doctor or other qualified health professional.

A bit about me

I'm Cherice Baker — Registered Natural Medical Practitioner and the person behind Foxy For Life.

I trained in South Africa in a degree equivalent to naturopathic medicine — giving me the ability to work across homeopathy, nutrition, herbal support, and lifestyle intervention, supported by functional testing and blood work analysis. I have spent over 25 years in clinical practice.

But the part of my story that shapes everything I do now happened after that.

When I relocated to New Zealand seven years ago, I was burnt out and exhausted. I genuinely didn't know if I would ever return to practice.

What followed was unexpected. I worked in a health shop, in government roles, alongside everyday New Zealanders - busy, tired, often struggling. I watched firsthand how people actually eat, live and cope. I saw how little most people understand about their own bodies, and how quietly chronic health issues take hold when no one shows you another way.

That experience changed everything.

I returned to practice with fresher eyes, deeper empathy, and a much clearer mission - to help women in midlife understand their bodies, cut through the noise, and take back control of their health.

Naturally, confidently, and without overwhelm.

When we work together, you can expect someone who genuinely listens, explains things clearly, and builds a plan that works in your real life — not just in theory.
